Default shock problem!!!!

hiya guys. i have recently bought brand new koni shocks with 25-30 ml springs. driving the car around for about for about a month i started to hear a banging sound from passenger front shock and really bad vibrating from front passenger side, when i put car up on ramps i noticed that my driveshaft was completly shagged and at a downward angle so i replaced with new shafts and car was sitting really low and still the problem is still there.i have borrowed shocks and springs from a mate and now its okay. peter lloyd rallying have sent my shocks away to koni and have been told nothing is wrong with them.the shocks i have seem a little different to my mates. do any body have an ideas? many thanks.

yes i know the answer!!!!!!!!

The 4x4 cossie drive shaft is on the shorter side of acceptable (according to ford )....so when you lower it they tend to stress the cv joint and fuckup pretty quickly....SO to overcome this problem use a xr4x4 driveshaft it'll fit straight in and wont give you the hassle of the gen cossie 1.

Its same diameter and looks to the naked eye the same as the cossie 1 but in fact its slightly longer and wont die!

Have you checked your engine mounts?

I personally don't think it is anything to do with what has been suggested, otherwise why would the other dampers you put on provide a cure?

From the description of symptoms you describe, it sounds like a CV joint has dried out and the joint collapsed.
