Default air charge tempratures

hello

i had the strangest experience last night. It felt like my small turbo escort had like 50hp more, it was absolutly flying. So i checked all hoses in the engine bay that they where connected and the actuator rod and everything was ok. I asked around a bit and a guy that knows alot about engines said it was very dens in the air that night and only 10 degres celcius.

so just wondering if there might be somthing else that could have happend to my engine, anyone got any suggestion?

also if it give this mutch punch just to lower the act's would a water injection give the same effect or would i be better of with a rs 500 cooler?

somthing else is that as it used to run out of steam at around 5000 rpm, last night it went stright to 6000 rpm without any problem.

im running a stage one superchips with uprated actuator.

he was spot on, the diffrence from a hot day to that of say a cold fogy night is massive, as you felt last night.

a RS500 cooler will help this as will a good cold air feed to the air filter.
a water injection kit will also help on hot days when programed in well
i have a charge air temp gauge on my 450 bhp car on a cold night the temps may sit say, 23c on full boost but when i was at santa pod last it was hot day and the temps didnt go below 46c. ( i am working on a good water injection kit to sort it !!!! )

fit a good cooler and you cant go wrong

is the radtec intercoolers that are on ebay any good? I know the test in performance ford showed pro alloy as the best brand, but their a bit more expensiv.
