Turbo heatshield fading!!
Im about to fit a new standard turbo heatshield, but wondered if anyone has got any tips on how you can prevent it from fading??
Maybe you can put some sort of heat proofing or something under the heatshield

Nick-this is a constant problem and nothing I found would stop it , I have loads of heat proof tape on the back of mine to stop the paint melting and it does work but still gets f**king hot , so I reckon even if you did this it would still fade which is a shame as they look so cool when they are shined up

I got it years ago from Demon Tweeks but they dont seem to do it anymore it was called Cool Tape, I got something similar from Mike R but it fell off on it's first outing , the other stuff has stayed stuck for over 4 years

Mike R sold me some sticky stuff last week for this very job. Not fitted new heat shield yet though so I can't tell you if it works, but then considering Mike's godly status how could it possibly fail
