i have seen complete floorpans put into a stolen car, from a crashed
RS so when a "expert' looks at the number it looks fine.
still would not want a tug from the old bill in that one

Its been bought from KTS!!! on all the boards i visit they get a real
hammering every time and warned to stay away form them.

There cars are shit full stop, They go bust every 6 months and then
reappear with a slightly different name.

One of the mods done a check on them form the mkiv supra club and
found that they were getting closed down down for selling bent motors.

I went there once to look at an RX-7 and was really pissed off as it was
a 300 mile round trip the car was a pear bigtime.

Safe to say i will prob buy my next car from an owners site.

Cheers matt

I went there a few months back to have a look at some supras and evos. Some of the cars inside were awesome and looked pretty good, but the majority of the ones outside were absolute dogs. Whether they were the ones that had just come in and were going for work at a later date i dont know, but i couldnt quite believe they were actually ''on sale'' in this state.

Keighley Trade Centre!!! Uh Ohh!

They are very bad news in the import world. Seem to import a lot of cars no one in their right mind would touch.

If you search on any Jap owners forum (supra, skyline etc...) you'll read nothing but bad experiences

Last owner had it for 10 years too. It does look pretty good in the other pics though, but because its from KTC and the fact the engine bay looks horrible, it certainly raises suspicion once again.

That reg definately sounds familiar, Imperial isn't it? I think this is the one that keeps cropping up for sale all over is it not, the seller keeps saying that he's "gonna break it this week if it doesn't sell" and never does

This is not a cosworth vin number, they start WFOBXX

The only cars i've seen SAB chassis numbers on have been cars with dubious history

KTC have got a nice-looking Pacifica blue Escos for sale at the moment - up for Ł10,995 - it's on Autotrader now. Think I'll be giving that one a wide berth though

Are Escort Coswoths in general really that much of a minefield then?

These numbers are indeed issued to cars with dubious history, but by the dvla as i don't think q plates are issued any more, the give away is usually on the log book where it states date of first use and its usually years from where it should be, a lad at our club had a k plate ecos, first registered 2002 with SABTVR chassis number!

Hi new on here.Have seen R999COS in Thurso (Scottish Highlands) a young lad has bought it.My cousin was after one a few months ago and phoned about it but it was obvious over the phone it wasnt right. Also used to see M129JEC in Thurso think it must have been someone who had relatives up here as it used to appear for a couple of weeks every now and again.Whoever had it must have had it for a while, last time I saw it must have been a couple of years ago.Have heard some horror stories on Scoobynet about KTC.

i saw this car alogn time ago, its not an xr3i shell its a proper cossie shell t

100% just a ringer blantantly, i wish i had kept the emails there was a private seller originally, who nearenuff confirmed this, told me everything about the history of the xr3i, which is not the same history for the cossie

so therefore it is a ringer stolen escos

then a dealer had it and they took ages to sell it if i remember correctly

now your friend has it
