you will need to modify the sender unit to accomodate your 023, you can do this by getting a fitting kit (and length of hose to go from this to fuel filter) or by hoseclipping the pump to sender unit...
the first is obviously the better

good man damo knew you'd know i have the fitting kit already infact i have 2!!!!
i bought a whole unit off tim and swapped the 003 on there for my 023 so i can sell the 003 now
i have some high pressure braided line left from my FRST so will use that to the filter
just hope this solves my hesitation

You might also have to change your tank straps. Mine looked fine till i droped it down and they fell apart. Got stainless ones from Auto Specialists. Its a bit of a dose. Don't know why Ford didn't put a hatch under the seat to get at the pump !

cool cheers just a quick question too if i was to replace my fuel lines for braided ones what pressure ones should i use???
i ran high pressure (had to option of low but why limit) on my frst but the bloke said i would need something above that to run on my cossie if i eventually wanna run a 044 through it?? is that correct or would it be ok???

just replied to yours i think mine is not a fuel related problem tbh i think its a sensor but ford want Ł80 for the diag which may show up nothing??
just a touch unsure whether to get the diag done or try a new lambda sensor as with that unplugged mine idles fine but still hesitates a bit so that one COULD be the problem or maybe not
all the sensors are about Ł50 tho so alot of money to be spending on 5 or so sensors so dunno what to do
altho i shall be fitting the new fuel system as soon as i return from my hols whether that helps or not as it will certainly remove any further doubts i shall have

Whats it doing on idle?
mine has a very quick misfire, almost like a stutter
Replaced the leads last night and took it out again. Was running fine then it wasnt then it was then it wasnt and so on which is making me think its the ECT sensor. I will stick in the old one tonight and try that as i know it was fine. Just thought id replace them all while i had the engine in bits

on idle mine was reving up to the norm then revs down to 500rpm then goes back up too 1000rpm then back down to 500 etc etc never did this b4 but with the lambda unplugged it idles perfect but still plays up on driving ....
so to break down what sensors there are:-
water sensor
iscv sensor
lambda sensor
map sensor
charge air temp sensor
maf sensor (small turbo)
tp sensor
phase(big turbo)
cp sensor
knock sensor
any more???
i think mine must be the map sensor or the lambda
