can you give a better description of when your getting the smoke, so youve said at full boost in the lower gears, what boost are you running? do you see any smoke on idle or on the overrun? are you seeing most smoke while boost is building or when max boost is reached?

maybe your turbo seals are letting alittle oil past causing some burning, pull off the induction hose to the front of the turbo is their any movement in the turbine, side to side in and out? sorry for all the questions just trying to help you sort this asap

i remember when mine smoked alittle and on further inspection the oil was way over the max, i replaced with fresh oil at the correct level and it was fine.

turbo

wouldnt worry about the lower oil pressure at idke when hot, its just wheere the oil has thinned out so much, presumably you are running correct grade?? ie 15/50 or 15/60 etc

Thn turbo failure most probably. Does it let out puff of smoke when changing gear?

That's pretty strange, usually turbos only smoke at full boost when theyt are completly knackered.

Idle? off boost all right too? Cold start? Warm start?

It may be breather problem too. What setup are you running?

milkmanif you can actually see it in rear view mirror it's big issue. I wouldn't drive it like that. I would say 99% it's turbo or breather system.

Probably woud require some cold start full boost runs and then hot shut-offs. Still unusuall.

milkman turbo failure rarely comes as boosting problems, usually it starts smoking bvadly, buning oil before any power loss comes

TUrbos can die from long lack of use. I only read about it, never seen one die after long time without engine running but it may be the case.
