Default my N reg esc cos doesn't need a cat for the mot!!!

Had it's first computerised MOT the other day and when the details were put into the computer is came back as CAT test not required!!!! RESULT

Didn't need to refit the cat exhaust anyway as I know the garage owners but if I do need to take it somwwhere else in future I won't have to suck up to the mot tester!! lol
I presume it's because it was first registered in singapore

This is a true question from a MOT exam!

If a car hasnt a windscreen, wipers and washer jets would you pass the vehicle???

YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Father in law is a tester and that was a question in the new test! He said fail and got that question wrong!
He got all the others right and said to me that if a car HASNT a CAT fitted, then it wont be tested for one!

So good news eh! Your emmisions will have to be right tho!

as long as the emissions are ok then it doesnt matter about a cat regardless, never has as far as im aware, the problem is getting the emissions low enough without using a cat

or i suppose do the best of both worlds a sports CAT because their is NO-WAY a cossie will pass an emissions test without a cat. a nice 100cell ss one will do the job nicely.
