Default fuel pump residuel pressure valve....do you need it?

as above,,

its not in a cossie its in my mk2 xr2.....

but im running a group A 044fuel pump & full aeroquip set up/braided lines throughout,

i was gonna fit a straight adapter to both ends of the fuel pump then add a straight/90 or a 45 whichever is needed as it looks better than a straight 1 end & banjo the other

but this means removing the pressure valve thats screwed in to 1 end
will this make difference???

i was told it keeps pressure in the pump to ease starting but will the priming when you turn the ignition not do this anyway?

hope you get what i mean

Never inspected an 044 pump, we run internal pumps ... most people seem to be able to run aeroquip on 044's, whether they remove that valve or not I dont know sorry..
