sounds dafft guy but if seen the tanks on most your cossies and there a tank on the left hand side itake it the oil catch tank right if so what is it and whats it called thanks all???

its called a mirror image catch tank.

just to copy the header tank shape,make it look even in the engine bay.

Got mine of Dan@Rapid-Ford on here he sells bailey bits. Spot on it was on my doorstep the next day and he sold me the fitting kit.

catches whatever come out of your breather system.

not sure how some people have theirs plumed in?

on my normal bailer breather without catch tank the oil and water vapour is seprated, the oil is returned to the sump and the water out of a tube that goes under the car.

with the carcth tank i think it hold the oil in the tank rather than returning it to the sump??

You may get a slight bit of oil in the tank but it does have a drain that comes out under the car. The Bailey one stops the oil vapour blowing back through your pistons. Under big boost

i only seem to get a drip of water now and gain out of the pipe under the car.


can see the fumes on cold days, kinda like exhaust fumes

no,if the system is installed properly then you still have the oil sep/breather which returns oil to sump,the catch tank collects the water vapours which you can drain off when reqd

Speak to Dan@rapidford this is his user name. Think the kit was about £30 That comes with all the pipes and clips allso the tube for the rocker cover and the adapter for the side of the block.
