Default fuel pump again!

put a new sytec one in a few months ago, ready for a stage 3 set up, bought from woodford, they said it would be good enough for up to gray inj.
but now being told they are only good enough for 300 bhp!?!?
anyone got any info?

I should be ample for as stage 3 (330bhp) - as Damo has said the Bosch 023 is a much better pump on paper..... though I was surprised that when I had my car tuned be Mark Shead he said that the Walbro (sytec) pump was more than capable of running 400bhp and he said he really rated the pump. I had this problem of buying a walbro pump before finding out about its supposed limitations and did not really know about the bosch pumps etc.... ( I also have a 044 that I bought off ebay thinking I could use it ) But my car is running 25psi of boost and is over 330bhp and I am not worried about it.

BTW grey injectors are for a stage 4 set up, for a stage 3 you should use 803's (dark green). The walbro should have no problem supplying good flow to green's. Give Mike R a ring and ask about getting some 803's off him they are about Ł45-Ł50 each I think?

Yes it will be fine for stage 3. Like I said Mark Shead told me that they are good for 400bhp (greys) - As Damo V has stated and Mike R have said the Bosch 023 is a far better pump but you will have no problems using the walbro with 330bhp.

I should also add that if I get an uprated head gasket and go for more bhp - around the 380bhp mark with greys etc.. then I would get the bosch pump just to be on the safe side. - far cheaper than a new engine.
