Hi i was just wondering if any one knew if thr mexico's came with black paint work between the back lights or not. Plannin on re painting my mex and just wanted to know Thanks

I know on the rs2000 the black rear pannel signafied it was a custom model but i guess you could have it as an option on a non custom.I remember readind some where that mexicos didn"t come with the black pannel and i know early mk2 mexicos came with crome door handles too very early ones that is.RSOC would be the place to ask as they have a register for mk2 mex"s and rs 2000.

Just had a look on there out of interest and it looks like most don't have it as it wasn't standard, however, back then you could pretty much ask for whatever you wanted on it, so if the customer wanted it he got it.

For RS2000's though it was one of the things on the Custom spec .

I would say whichever way you do yours, it wont matter!
