Default Mk1 XR2 exhaust

Hey my friend has recently bought a mint Mk1 XR2, he's not an a big internet user so I said I'd stick try and find out some info for him. The car currently has a standard exhaust system on it but it has seen better days so he is going to change it. Having given the net a quick trawl the only system I have found for the Mk1 is from Ashley exhausts, just wondering if anyone knows of any others or if this is the best choice for the car??? Cheers for any info you pass on.

It might be worth phoning around the people who used to do these as they may still have a few, if not could always go custom SS system ?
I've only ever used one ashley system that fell to bits and was f*****g noisy as hell, but I know other people rate the for different cars.

Cheers Tabetha, yeah I had an Ashley system on an orion years ago and seem to recall it being way to loud and having the build quality of old baked bean tins so that was why i was hoping for someone else to still list a system for it.
I'll try calling round some of the other exhaust manufacturers and see if anyone can be of any help.
The custom SS idea is another route to go down but again I've had a few friends went to the only place in the North east of Scotland that does them and I wasn't to impressed by the final results.
Thanks for your help

The guy I just bought my supersport does SS exhaust custome for cars. He showed me a pic of one he did on an RS1800 yes a MK2 and it looked very nice. He is near Drymen, Loch Lomond way.

I would ring SES, Stainless Exhaust Specialist, they have done work for me before on custom one off stuff, at Huthwaite, they are very good, may well have a pattern so worth a ask, they also do a lot of high end ferrari lambo etc stuff.
