Cheers for that, I'm in Windsor though so somewhere closer to home would be lovely.

Try taking it down then using adhevise double sided padding to put it back up. We do that all the time in the Police cars, lasts till we need to take it down again aswell

Or do it properly, take the headlining out completly and get it recovered by a competent upholsterer....doesnt cost a bomb and will be as new when done

Mines going in for the same thng in the next few weeks....i got a little carried away when giving it a valet once, its been like a bell tent flapping around inside there ever since lol

You must all have different head linings to the one on mine then! Mine isn't material it's a solid item covered. I presumed yours would be like mine Coxy but maybe its not!

Yeah mate, hard to describe but it feels like card or something like that covered in material. If I push the midlle up with one finger the whole thing goes back in place, so t's not like cloth hanging down.

Is it a hard job and how much do I go about it basically? After seeing your black Saff being wholly re-vamped I trust you know how to do pretty much anything. How's that going anyway?

Cheers.

yeah going pretty well mate cheers!

What would be the easiest would be to take the interior trims panels off, A, B and C pillar interior panels and anything else that gets in the way then lower it down so you can gain access. You don't have to remove it from the car, you dont even have to lower it much just enough so you can use Self adhesive Strips on the roof first then onto the inside of the headlining. The stuff we are using at work at the moment is VELCRO pads and it's the BOLLOCKS at keeping the head lining up!

Hope it helps ya mate

There is a simple way....

Get yourself some liquid glue for fabric and a hyperdermic needle and syringe (ask a druggy mate for one lol) and just squirt small amounts around...no need to take down and no holes after

Mine is mint!!!

I need to do this on mine!

Been putting it off coz I figured the only way would be to remove it from the car - which I guess is a front or rear window out job!

I had the same problem, shortly after buying my car.

(US 1993 Mustang)

I looked up Resto parts, and they wanted too much.

Instead, I found some synthetic material on Ebay and bought it for 10 dollars. Then I went to the auto-parts store and bought some spray adhessive.

Went home took out the entire liner stripped all the material off til it was just the padding and carboard, cut out the material to have slight overhangs, and glued it about 1 foot at a time (sorry, US standards).
Then I trimmed off the excess material, remounted it and it has been great. Also the material I got is similar to Alcantara, and I had extra, so I covered some other trim pieces that were getting worn.

So for about 15 dollars total I have a really nice headliner (everyone loves it).

That sounds a bit more promising! Mine desperately needs doing. Cheers!
