I had the same problem, shortly after buying my car.

(US 1993 Mustang)

I looked up Resto parts, and they wanted too much.

Instead, I found some synthetic material on Ebay and bought it for 10 dollars. Then I went to the auto-parts store and bought some spray adhessive.

Went home took out the entire liner stripped all the material off til it was just the padding and carboard, cut out the material to have slight overhangs, and glued it about 1 foot at a time (sorry, US standards).
Then I trimmed off the excess material, remounted it and it has been great. Also the material I got is similar to Alcantara, and I had extra, so I covered some other trim pieces that were getting worn.

So for about 15 dollars total I have a really nice headliner (everyone loves it).
