Which cossie are we talking about? One that should have a cat as standard? Or an earlier type?

All software will pass the earlier 3.5 limit no problems, walk in teh park, but if the later 0.5 limit, even my closed loop software wont pass the test normally, although i can get the emissions to 0.3% up to 1000cc injectors, but not reliably, its normally more like 0.75%.

Bottom line, time to buy a sports cat.

I had a N reg skline in today.

Should have a CAT test.

Because the bloke had removed the NS front and rear seat, it's no longer classed as a passenger vehicle and does not have to undergo a CAT test.

Now before all the pub experts chirp in, I called the help line and after a few minutes discussion withe the bloke at VOSA it was deemed 100% fine to not do the CAT test.

The other way round it is if the presenter can prove by showing a letter from a Ford dealer, that the engine fitted was manufactured before 1992.

Now i'm not suggesting that someone might forge a letter from Ford but........

no worse than if he'd been 100% and then removed the CAT.

generally if you have fully comp ins it reverts to 3rd party I'm told.

well researched bloke if so.
It all comes down to reading the manual and seeing the grey areas.

Some testers would not have recognised this, some won't.
