Its possible, and better IMO. Fuck the standard connectors theyre awful, ESPECIALLY that annoying little fuse-link wire for the main fusebox feed, thats the first thing i cut off and replace with a fuse.

Here's mine:

The only thing i would say, on my positive clamp you can see right on the edge its just catching the bonnet though, a couple of small black arcing marks, theres not a lot of clearance, so try and find some low profile clamps (this is also why i would recommend chopping off the standard connectors, you can always replace them)

That said the size of battery probably doesnt help thats the biggest battery you would ever fit in the tray, can't even get the side clamp on, it covers the holes!

Also note the inline fuse for the fusebox feed

Cool mate ive got a spare new battery from my e36 m3 bosch silverline so ill wack that in, the clamps look the same as those but have screws in instead of the allen bolts which mean i dont have to remove the connectors

I'd be very careful when you shut the bonnet down first time.........screwing your connectors on the top will make the top shit quite proud, those connectors ive got aren't overly chunky, and you can blatantly see they have been arcing. Ive got some rubber covers for them i keep forgetting to put them on

The thing i like about those ones, is theres 4 holes, 2 for 8AWG, and 2 for 4AWG, do a good job

PS forgot so appologise for the Renault sticker on the battery
