Its possible, and better IMO. Fuck the standard connectors theyre awful, ESPECIALLY that annoying little fuse-link wire for the main fusebox feed, thats the first thing i cut off and replace with a fuse.

Here's mine:



The only thing i would say, on my positive clamp you can see right on the edge its just catching the bonnet though, a couple of small black arcing marks, theres not a lot of clearance, so try and find some low profile clamps (this is also why i would recommend chopping off the standard connectors, you can always replace them)

That said the size of battery probably doesnt help thats the biggest battery you would ever fit in the tray, can't even get the side clamp on, it covers the holes!

Also note the inline fuse for the fusebox feed
