IVE JUST BEEN FLASHED BY A GATSO 50ish IN A 40 ON MY WAY BACK FROM SOUTHEND

WHAT WILL BE MY FINE/POINTS??

make a note of the time and date. They must notify you within 14 days or they cant do you. (there maybe 1 or 2 days added for delivery) . A lot of cameras dont have film in. (in cheshire anyway) good luck

 

Which direction did it flash you from, aproaching it, or from behind?

 

Just go back and have a look if its a local one.

When they put the camera in they remove the dark lens on the front, so you can actually see the camera, if its in there

 

they're mainly digital now thoughso fines come through pretty quick

 

im sure there was a theory before that if the camera flashed 4 times it had no film in it but if its gone digital now then not sure

 

Gatso's arent digital, but all the new cameras going up are. I think the rumour about the flashes was urban myth, but a Gatso can only work from behind the vehicle, so if you are speeding towards one it may flash but wont be able to catch you!

 

one flash warning , double flash in succession got u , unless theres no film in it .if ur done mate just go back wih a , and 'do it over'...............only jokin

 

 

get with it folks, ive had 18 gatso tickets and not sent any back.

unless the police pull you over and get a signature or your dna to say its you then they cannot prosecute you unless you send it back pleading guilty to a crime that you havent done.

its apparantly illegal to incriminate yourself.

even if they have a pic of your face that is not evidence to say its you.

there was a bloke in paper aswell that got flashed at 130 on his phone down motorway.

when took to court he said he was at a swimming lesson with his child and the car must have been stolen as it was at a friends house over night and he picked it up after his childs lesson. so in the time he was at the lesson he said somebody must have stole the car and been driving it on motorway,

because the swimming instructor backed him up for where he was the large photo of his face was useless.

so like i say dont volunteer to be bummed by the police
