Default Someone explain the logic...

So i had 2 accidents on my dads insurance a few years ago... and my dad has just changed his insurance policy... he is paying several hundred pounds extra cos of these accidents, even tho it was a different policy on a different car to the one hes insuring (a 5 series bmw) and im no longer on his policy as i have my own and obviously im too paying extra cos im retarded and crashed..

anyway... turns out for some really logical reason, it would be cheaper for him to actually insure me on the bmw as a named driver, as it would put his premium down...

that makes perfect sense. hehe

Some insurance companies will give preferential rates to 2 drivers on a policy as opposed to 1, the discount in this case is more than the loading for your accidents

yeh thats why i put my parents on my insurance... makes it cheaper.

but both my parents are on their car.. and im hardly the desirable candidate to lower a premium.. infact im the stereotypical worst candidate, 20 years old with 2 accidents hehe!

I wouldn't worry, maybe they made a mistake, it happens a lot especially when they offshore customer service
Just take them up on the offer and your dad saves money
