Default wireless networking help please

ok, ive got my pc and laptop on a wireless network now but what i want to know is can i send a file or whatever from one pc to the other ?

ie no more burning discs to transfer songs over etc

how do i do it ?

u need to create a small home or network, and then enable file sharing.

Quite easy really..... Need a wireless router and need to check that laptop has a wireless network card (Obviously you will need to buy one of these if not), all installation will be pretty simple once its rigged up!! Id go for a Netgear DG834GT router, supposed to be rather good!! Ebay or PC world are quite cheap for them!! Hope this helps....

can you have wireless even if the laptop is not wireless enabled?? Can you get a card or something instead?

Should be able to get a wireless access point for the laptop!!

now what ya laughing at ????

also ive already got the wireless router and the laptop is wireless and thats all sorted and setup now,


what i want to do is set the networ up so that i can either send files from the home pc to my laptop or be able to look around the home pc from my laptop and then copy things across from there to here if you get me

Still not done it?!

Goto My network places, clcik network setup wizzard and follow the instructions. Do this on each computer....
