They 287bhp, tho dont really feel like it.

About 1550kg (over 1800 if convirtible )

With bluefin etc etc etc you should do him i reckon actually if its standard, tho they do well at higher speeds, and i dunno how well a FRS does.

Not to sure, but the comparison should be interesting. While the FRS is about 300 kg lighter than the 350Z so in theory the power to weight should balance out. But considering the FRS is FWD I think it will always loose out acceleration from a standing start. Rolling might be a different matter.

The 350Z extra power should help it out for top speed. But the focus is supposedly the better handler.

Personally I prefer the 350Z over the FRS

I was marginally faster in my 240bhp RST than my mates stock (brand new) 350Z.. My car had a lot of mid range grunt and I pulled a nice little gap on him through 3rd and 4th gears.. The Focus would be a little faster with bluefin and de cat IMO than the Nissan... Although this is just an educated guess

fuck me

the 350z has 6 gears and lots of low down torque adna nice power band, top speed the car will piss on the frs JUST CAUSE THE CAR IS WELL BALANCED

the 350z feels slow and is too quiet inside but i was doing 130 thinking i was doing 90,,,,,,,, not as fast as my cossie and i must admit but fr a top speed car its more about just top speed, the car just seems to stick to the road and go when ya point it

also been in one when someone else was trying to get it sideways

it does seem quicker than the bmw Z3 3.0 and alot more comfortable inside

whats the top speed of a frs out of interest ?

the 350z is limited to 155 but deffo does 145 standard

i love the car but theres not enough seats in em

doors are too high though

the 350's the new one yeah?????
If so i wouldn't waste any time in ordering an RX-8 instead i test drove them both and found the Mazda a far more satisfying motor lighter
more nimble/responsive and dare i say it more practical/usable

freind of mine has a 53plate import 350z in pearl white, at 18k he had to have the clutch replaced. then after a further 2k i had to pull the engine out after no5 went dry and shafted the entire motor. local nissan garage wanted 13k to put an engine in. 9k for engine and 4k in labour. reckoned it was 2 guys and 4 days of work. tryed to get nissan uk to contribute as it's surpossed to be there flag ship but after them first of all giving a green light they changed there minds over night and denied all knowledge of the conversation. anyway dropped a replacement motor in from japan and 6 hours after we started she was running.

despite all the probs the car it's self is awesome, the complete package, no where near as quick as teh escos but still a wonderfull car to drive.

no offence but i do understand there reason for not bothering with it, being that grey imports cost less adn they get no cash for it and not knowing how the car was treated

bet your company would agree to fix a 14k problem that they dont have to aswell

the engine problems you mention ive never been aware of but then most the 350z drivers ive seen just pose in em rather than drive

must admit i really like em and find em a nice car being N/A and a v engine i dont think theres room for many problems if treated right

the price of parts does scare me though
