can anyone tel me if this person is trying to do a scam on me
with payment.

im selling a 1600 bottom end that has been rebored and has
new pistons, piston rings, shells etc, it has never been fitted
to the car so im selling it as a rebuilt item.

this is the mail ive been getting for it and im not to happy on
how he wants to pay me

hello my name is eric ,i saw ur advert placing on internet where
the price is stated as £200 and i will like to purchase it
and make my payment with postal money order or cashiercheck.if
this suit ur purpose kindly send it last price condition and the
current pics if available, urgent respond needed. thanks

i said i want cash when or if he collects

then his second mail was
hello please i just want to tell you that i pay with a cashier cheque
or a money order and you will clear it easily

i said are you comming down for the bottom end, if he was going to
he could give me cash.

his reply again
sorry please i dont understand you i will like you to explain better
and i will like you to tell me the state of condition of the goods so i
will no how to proceed on the payment.

wtf is he going on about he picks it up or he doesnt i know a postal
order is o.k as i can cash it at the local p.o but why not give me cash

cashiers cheque as far as im aware is same as a postal order.

but sounds like a foreigner so its probably a forged one, lol

Ask him for his cheque, then burn it.

There was a website about where people were baiting the scammers into all kinds of comedy situations... can't remember it now
