Optimax - Where has it gone?

Optimax - Where has it gone?
My local shell hasnt had any in since Hemel Hampstead fire... they reckon there isnt any across the country...
im fed up of using BP Ultimate
can you still get it?
im in grantham, lincs...

Despite having 99RON, test in Performance ford shows it aint that great!

But it costs more and has a lower octane rating - I havent read the review though - whats better about ultimate?
Tescos 99 Oct makes more of a difference in my car than BP Ultimate

yes , the 99 ron tesco crap was no better than the BP ultimate,which i think is 97.

As said above, loads of optimax in west yorks. My car actually feels much better on ultimate than optimax.

they had tommy from field motorsport test a engine on his engine dyno to see how much ignition advance they could use before it detted i think he got
15+ bhp more with optimax somethinh like +6 more advance than the rest

I do not have the magazine in front of me but
Regular gas was approx 1* advance then detting
Tesco 99 3* advance then detting it's tits of
Ultimate 97* 10* advance the detting
Optimax 13* advance then detting
There was if i recall abouyt a 35/40bhp difference across the range as well from i think 410bhp to 450bhp was alot but dont quote me on the above figures

Mike, I think the base was 13 degrees, and then ignition added up to a max of +3 degrees before det' was found (Optimax = 16degrees of igniton advance).
