Every time i show pictures and graphs they say photoshop or dont believe it can happen...We all know theres sum evil cossies out there.

People race a cossie with 20 grands worth of mods against a standard bike and claims cossies are quick.

Its not really comparing like with like.

A 450bhp cossie would probably get beaten by an R6, but they would certainly be in the same ballpark, but an R1, no chance at all.

Keith Brooks wasted me on my Zx6r in his 420bhp saff upto about 140..............I clawed it back from there till i was off the clock- but we were still neck & neck.

Think his times are in the techy part of perfomance ford if you wanted to check!

PS i don't hang about on bikes either!!

 

that vid is a 4x4 470bhp saff off the line vs a r1,probly less than 1/4 mile,but he does win!

 

up the quarter the 6 would win, over a longer distance the saph would due to a higher top speed

so depends on where you race

but its definately going to be more close with an R6 than with an R1

i agree, but the cossie i m talking about is a 614@wheels monster with a sequential gearbox.... 0-100mph 5.75secs....

 

Thats slower than a honda civic though if you want to start talking about massively modified ones

i was just goin on the fact that people who ride bikes are just as likely to fuck up as car drivers,and both machines are also liable to break at some point! if you select a wrong gear,or you havent changed your rear tyre (s) recently or youre just crap,then you could lose regardless! ive seen a 17 second ford ka beat a stupid power supra up the strip cos the guy in the supra fucked up!

 

I've got £100 with a mate that he won't get away from me in his 400bhp 4x4 saph on any road he likes next year.

My only condition is that it's got to be dry

id race you between 2 sets of traffic lights approx 20 metres apart personally in a 400bhp 4x4! just side step clutch and fook off before you got time to catch up!

Makes me laugh when people say their car will beat a bike! and its usually some tosser in a pub with an rs turbo tellin his mates the story of how he wasted a bike.

You can buy an early GSXR 1000 for £3k (150 bhp at the wheel) and it will absolutly out accelerate any road car you put it against. You might get close with a 650bhp cossie above 130mph but you would have to had poured £30k+ into the car

Also bear in mind that a stock GSXR1000 is geared for 190mph ish red line in top. It might cost you £15 to change the gearing. Then try keeping with it between 70mph and 120mph!
