with 225/50 tyres, how much of a job to fit, do you just have to roll back arches or do u hav to do fronts aswell, or will they not fit with 225's on?

have had 225/45 on mine before and had rolled front arches mine a 2 w/d

 

cheers, alvyn were the alloys escoz with 225's or different ones? ive heard the escoz alloys have different offsets, does anyone know if this is true???

 

They are different offsets, they sit out a wee bit further. I have them on my 2wd saph with 215/40/16

 

Kevs spot on I had the same size on my Saff and there really easy to keep clean as well

 

cheers, the ones i am lookin at have 225 tyres on , are these a nightmare to get on coz i dont want to but them and then have to throw tyres away and have to buy four new ones coz i cant get them on

 

Depending an how good your suspension is you might have to get new tyres or get the arches properly rolled back, else it will cheese grate the edge everytime you go over a bump or dip in the road.

Standard size is 225/45 from memory, but 215/40's will deffo clear it and save you going through 2 sets of fronts every 200 miles

I dont know whether it was just me that found it, but it seemed to have took some of the handling away is well due to having the wrong off set AND it did seem better with a set of 17"s on it afterwards.

Just my opinion before someone tells me different
