Depending an how good your suspension is you might have to get new tyres or get the arches properly rolled back, else it will cheese grate the edge everytime you go over a bump or dip in the road.
Standard size is 225/45 from memory, but 215/40's will deffo clear it and save you going through 2 sets of fronts every 200 miles
I dont know whether it was just me that found it, but it seemed to have took some of the handling away is well due to having the wrong off set AND it did seem better with a set of 17"s on it afterwards.
