Default Fitting fuel pump carrier....

Gotta stainless fuel pump carrier & new pump to go on, but the old cage is held together with cable ties and all the bolts/fixings rusted up! Looks it's gonna be a nightmare of a job cos i can't seem to get hold of the fixings and rubber mountings anywhere! Don't wanna start the job and end up strugglin to get the new one on! Just wonderin if anyone who's done this could give me some tips/advice on how they did it????? Thanks in advance

Check out my underside I did, I fitted the AS autos replacement 3 peice cradle... but you still need to buy the spare wheel well plug and also the cradle that bolts to the chassis (that the plugs goes through) and as you say the three rubber mounts for the internal cradle to hold the pump. I can get you the finis codes for these parts if you require? (That is if they are still available, as when I got mine the bloke said they were becoming harder to get hold of)

You can see these parts mentioned on this page of my thread: https://passionford.com/forum/viewto...=asc&start=120

I did more or less the same as vroom ptsssh,as the nuts and bolts holding the cradle to the car where seized solid,in fact both bolts sheared in half when I tried to remove the nuts off them!!!I just replaced the bolts and nuts and used the rest of the origional FORD rubbers, cradle etc.Regards Micky
