needs unlocking at a guess mate. yuo sould be able to take it to you local market and find the dodgy fone geezer on there some where but if it is blocked its useless. it means its been reported stolen or lost and the phone company the customer was with has had a replacement fone so they block the lost one. you could find out what network the fone was on if its blocked and ring them up to discuss getting it unblocked but they would probably want a load of money off you.

 

Dont forget.If it was advertised as an unlocked phone to give a bad feedback rating unless the seller resolves the issue.

don't they block the imi number thingy so the complete phone is fooked and cannot be used again unless some clever person can put a new imi number into it.

 

Yes they put the IMEI number on a black list with every mobile phone company in THIS country

like Dave said if it is blocked the only of getting round it is to re-write the IMEI number on it but this is very illegal lol

if they're dual or tri band they'll work in other countries with another SIM (from that country )

 

so he has got to move to another country to use his phone.

as for the phone if it is basnned in the u.k get it unlocked and send it to another country if of course you cant get a refund
i sometimes buy barred phones from the uk,i,m in sweden, and they work perfect out here

 

If the phone was sold to you as unlocked, then you should be able to get your money back. If it was sold as a locked phone, then you will need to get it unlocked
