how can i find my IP adress for remote access, i got a use name and password just need to get the ip address

What operatin system are you using?

Win XP: Click Start - Control panel - Network Connections - double click whichever connection you're using ie LAN or dial up modem then click support and you have your IP.

Win 2000: Click Start - Run - Type "cmd" (without the "s) - at command prompt type "winipcfg/all" (without "s) and your IP will appear

Win 98 and ME: Same as above but type "command" instead of "cmd"

If they have blocked any non work websites its pretty likely theyve blocked the ability to use remote access software!

You could try something like GoToMyPC but as I said yor network people will almost certainly have blocked it!

I don't think you would be able to surf through your home machine though only view saved porn on your harddrive!

reading it back I see what your getting at We use terminal services at work to access servers... However, accessing your home PC will be a different story, of course it's not within your network, so unlikely u'll be able to sue that program (dont quote me tho) Oh, and you'll need to make sure you allow the connection in to your machine, cos it aint gunna be a secure connection either, i.e vpn.

just use "remote admin" it's about the best software about for this type of stuff.

As it's a connection going out the works firewall it will mostly pass,

otherwise you'll have to use other "ports" to try to get to your pc.

On your homepc use a myip.us account and one of the softwares that automaticly updates your ip on their website so you can go to use b19bal.myip.us in your remote access software at work instead of having to look up your ip adress on your home pc in the morning

(i'm IT and I use it like this to monitor my downloads at home from work
wouldn't want my porn stopped downloading middle of the day, would we, then i would come home and would have to be happy with only the missus)
