Default S2, wear in bigends give low oil pressure?

My mates having a nitemare!. Will wear in the bigend shells give low oil pressure?

id say so, also checked oil pump?, oil pump pick up pipe?

not sure, but its cheaper to try an oil pump rather than shells etc

pressure should be 2.8bar at 2k revs, from cold will be higher, idle around 1.6bar from a standard pump

Nowhere near but not sure if its the shells doin it...

if its a high mileage lump, could be the shells......

but if it was me, id slap a pump on it and try just incase

cant see it being big ends as theyre not fed oil under pressure unlike the crank main bearings, if you had a main bearing shell badly worn or scored in the right place it could allow oil to drain straight back to sump lowering oil pressure but its ulikely.
