Default best kind of metal

what is the best metal you can use, if you want to create your own bracket for the brakes... aluminum? stainless steel? and what about the thikness??

any have any ideas?

Are you just making a bracket to hold the front caliper on or say for example a ERST rear bracket that has to go round the stub axle ?

its for my wilwood 4 pot at the front... but I have had many reply in generel forum... just posted both places cause I didn't know were was the right palce to post.. LOL
