Default 1.8 TD ford lumps (the older ones, sierras etc)- tuneable?

Are they the ones with the top mounted intercooler (with no fookin airflow to it at all )?

I can easy rig up some DIY mods, front mounted intercooler, cone filter, more boost, etc, for peanuts with stuff i find down the scrappy...

How is the fueling regualated?

How much boost can I wack thru it?
Is it a DIY job to add the extra fuel to compensate, or?

But thats not the point, this just some cheapo runaround to get to work as the mondeo is ready to die, and anything I do to it will be DIY stuff costing owt...

So, what can be done?

as if i can leave ANY car alone its got a turbo, and this is me, so i WILL make it go faster

only thing i WILL pay for is for brom or someone to weld up the rear diff, for some wet weather fun and games, and writeoffs

i said NO money, so its whatever cooler i can sly out the local scrappy for nothing! Saab 9000 one would be easy enough.

Well TBH if they got the top mounted cooler like I think they have, il just go scavving for pipes and mount it behind the bumper

turbo diesal pump is slighly different from na pump[what i have messed with before]
.but i'am sure you can adjust the fuel a small amount, there are 3 screw's on the
pump i think it's one near the back of the pump

there was a thead on here which showed you how to do it
some one posted from another forum.i did print a pic off
of how to do it
