Suspension is (supposed) to be too soft and the cars are sposed to suffer with the vague steering that all Audi's are knocked for. A few tweeks though and you could have a lot of fun

I didnt find the susp too soft or the steering too vague, I just found it totally deviod of exitement on the straights and round twists.

Felt like a vaguely quick FWD with more grip, dont feel like a 4wd really, even tho it is.
With more power I reckon it might, but It deffo felt like the car was being pulled from the front, if you get me.

It does everything its meant to very well tho, just not fun IMO

Agree with that, but TBH I dont have a very high regard for std esc cossies, they not very fast or exiting either, but the S3 has it on poshness and refinement

My m8's got one, it's not a bad car really, best time at the pod so far is a 15.2, don't rate the handling all that much, got a fucking huuuge amount of toy's in it, it's got some quattro 4wd shifting thing, whereby if it diverts the power evenly through the wheels of sommit. Doesn't feel nothing like a 200 brake rst, it's too comfy and not scary

It's a nice comfortable car, feel's saf and controlable (in the right hands), chipped they can be a monster, however, i think it's quite an ugly looking car, better to go for a Seat Leon Cupra - R, same toy's same power, just not as ugly looking.

As for that over an Escort Cossie, no contest I'm afraid, Cossie all the way

just a chip and boost increase should see 270bhp, which made one pretty hard to beat in my fez ( much lighter ) but i know which i'd rather be going fast in, and it doesn't have a blue oval

I have an S3 as an everyday car. It replaced my E30 M3.

I have had it for about a month or so now and done about 2,500 miles in it and I do really like it. I wanted a nice sporty car that was comfy, would munch miles, be reliable all without being too in your face and I have to say it fits the bill perfectly.

I agree they are not fast in standard form by tuned cossy standards, but they are a lovely car to drive and very nippy and I think it handles really well for a car its size and weight. OK it don't go round corners like my Exige, but then not much does. Top end, I have had 150 on the clock out of mine and it was still pulling. Crusies nice at a ton in complete silence and as has been said coems with all the toys.

Bose stereo
electric everything
climate control
really cool Recaro super comfy electric seats
ABS
Traction control
etc etc etc

Sean..

My brother has one in yellow,
He cam out of a 400 bhp cossie and wanted something more reliable/comfy while still being sporty.

Standard the engine just does the 4wd Quattro NO justice.

Now its chipped (revo)and on 18" RS4 alloys it really is quite quick and makes the chassis really work, which seems to make it seem more controlled.

And as sean said, bose concert system, pukka recaro's electric and heated everything.
