Default normal saph cos running temperature?

just a quick question to either setlle my mind or convince me i need serious attention!

took my saph for it's first really long drive last night, (2 and a half hours up the m1) now there was a lot of traffic so i was expecting temps to be a bit high but for the whole journey no mater what speed i was doing the temp guage stayed on the O of norm. is that about a correct running temp?

it's probably perfectly normal but i'm used to my old zetec escort which barely came off the bottom mark!

cheers
john

Temp gauges in cossies are not always very reliable, mine (4x4) stays low most of the time, hardly ever moves off the top of "M".

Best thing to do is to get a proper aftermarket gauge IMO, our 2wd runs around 180F, up to 200F ish in traffic jams, then the fans kick in, and temp drops back to 180 within a few seconds.
