To run more boost you turn the bleed valve out but you might need to set it up if you run too much.

What's the spec of the car?

Cheers

some people does use this way, would proberly work better using just one, either adjust the rod and use the amal valve..... i always used the amal valve, and found they provide a more solid boost when come in, but my tuner disconnected it, and used a bleed valve to adjust the boost, they are perfectly safe untill you turn the boost up yourself and blow it up.... get it done by a tuner and it will be fine

most peoples amal valve dont work anyway and dont know about it!!

I have noticed though that if i disconnect the amal valve it will only around 10psi and when i connect it, it will run 14psi

it will do, that means yours work for one thing, with the wire disconnected its just a non-adjustable bleed valve,

one good about the amal valve is a cheap 2 stage boost installation!

The amal valve has 3 pipes and is electrically connected to the ECU:

-from the turbo
-to the actuator
-to the air filter housing

When the turbo starts to produce boost, the pressure coming from the turbo will be diverted into the airbox, because the amal valve is powered by ECU.
This means boost will rise quickly, because no air is going to the waste gate actuator.

At a certain boost level (programmed in ECU) power is taken away and all pressure from the turbo is sent to the actuator, which will then take over completely.

So the amal valve is a way of getting the boost started as quickly as possible.

If you disconnect it, all boost will be diverted to the actuator, therefore boost will build slower, because the spring will give way already in early stages of boost build up.

This is the story for a standard car !!

Cheers

I had a bleed valve, but took it off and put the amal back on. Mine goes to 18 psi & holds but very rarely go to 18. So ive had no reason to connect the bleed valve back on.
