Guys,

got my rs turbo back together and now when I press the clutch pedal, the clutch arm on the gearbox seems to ‘jam’ on. It’s like the release bearing is getting stuck in the cover plate ?

i fitted a release bearing I had lying around for an escort ..think I’ve f%^*d up here.

has anyone else has this ?

I’ve known the ones with plastic tabs to break. I only use the metal ones now. I think your taking the box out again.

Yeh , i was hoping for the gear box fairy to do it over night but its still the same.

Only thing I remeber is that the contact 'ring' on the release bearing I fitted was narrower that the RS one , only thing i can thing off that is different.

Originally when i pressed the clutch, I couldn't get the gears because it was grinding then i checked and the arm was 'stuck' as mentioned.
