Stupid “Yellow spanner”.. anyone had this come on under acceleration, usually happens in a higher gear when I pull out to overtake.. and into limp mode.. Yet drove 200 miles today on motorways and used cruise control for 95% of the full journey and it didn’t come on.. yet when I wanted to take control it comes on.. turn engine off and back on it clears and away you go.. my friend plugged his snap on scanner in and it came up knock sensor.. I’ve ordered and have one in front of me.. could it be this?? Does anyone know? I find it hard knowing that today when I cancelled cruise control whilst driving along swiftly as I caught traffic up, still in 6th gear and speed down to 50mph to hit resume and the car pulled really well back to the speed I was previously doing.. yet if I take control it will most likely put the light on..

it had a similar problem last year whilst still under warranty and Ford apparently said it needed a software update!! And it did cure it,, but now it’s back..

Anyone had similar issues?
