engine revs not droping

Unhappy engine revs not droping

hi can any one tell me if they have heard of this problem and poss cause , i have a 1999 2ltr ghia focus , when driving the car some times it doesnt slow down when foot is taken of excellator , and sometime will increase speed on its own , however when i brake the revs will drop ( i dont have cruise control ) many thanks

the focus has anti stall,

the revs will return to idle when the car comes to a standstill, its speed related.

its so you can poodle along in traffic, without using throttle.as it gives a fast idle when the vss shows a reading

it took my mrs a while to get used to, but its fine if you dont dip the clutch until your almost stopped

it is bloomin annoyin to get used to, mine still somtimes rev's itself to 3000rpm, esp after comin off motorway, scanned it and lookin like the throttle position sensor, so i'm gonna replace that an see how it goes, I've also cleaned out the iscv
