Unhappy Should I buy a BOX CS1 for my Mk3 1.3L CFi Fiesta?

Hi all, Im new to the forum.
As the title suggests, should I buy the BOX CS1 from Chippower for my fiesta? Has anyone tried this? How hard is it to do? Is it reversible?
Im not an expert on working on cars but I can do a few small things...
From what I gathered it SHOULDN'T be a very hard job to do but Im scared Ill screw something up since I have to mess around with a sensor and probably some other stuff.

Thanks for the help.

Looking at what it is, you'll be better off pouring some snake oil in the engine

I'll sell you a plastic box with some resistors and a nest of wires inside for half the price! Even better, its wireless. It'll achieve the same power gain, with none of the engine melting risks

So its bullsh*t?
I thought It could work since my car is CFi. Plus it has a OBD port which I didnt know these could have. So it means it has an ECU right?

I currently have the engine like this. Took the pipe from the air box off so I could get more induction noise (and more power?). What Would I get from a K&N filter? How about headers and porting the intake manifold? Would any of these things get me to like 70hp or more? 😬

a k & n should add about 5 to 10 bhp.. that engine is really a xflow and if you really wanted to keep it id scrap single injection off for twin 40s and good camshaft kit and 4 branch manifold that will see it up closer to 100bhp

Wouldn't that be a downgrade? Going from Injection to carburetors? It would also be a really hard swap no?
What would a good camshaft kit be?

Defo not a downgrade mate as the single point injection is shite.. carb swop is simple enough with right parts.. a camshaft kit and duplex timing gear kit would be what you need..

I think you are going to be very lucky to find a good RS1800 engine for sale and if you do it will cost a lot more than the upgrades that have been suggested to you It would not be an easy swap and it would cost quite a lot as you would need to get the work done by a Ford specialist.

Then what other swaps should I be looking into? Ones that sound good, make power and wont destroy the wallet?

Then what other swaps should I be looking into? I kind wanted something to make some power (not like 500) and have a deep note to it but I really dont know many engines to put in it. Most are probably really expensive ಠಗಠ

Unless you really want a project to do, or are really attached to that mk3. Best bet sell it and just buy a quicker car

I like it way to much to sell it. And using it as a project too was always a dream of mine as well.

Fair enough then.

Maybe look for a 1.6 cvh lump. that'll get you just over 100bhp untuned and should be quite an easy swap.

Also there is plenty of people out there who have converted them with zetec / ST170 lumps , so thats also an option.

I'd love a mk2 Fiesta with some form of 2.0 fitted

How about a puma 1.7 swap? The Puma is based on the MK4....the engine bay size is similar....perhaps a bit more eletronics.
