Default Airtec Radiator Mounting S2

Evening all - has been somewhat 9 years but car is being slowly rebuilt, but when offering up the radiator with the new turbo and waste gate etc I can’t quite see how it should mount correctly, i have the IC with twin fans to mount thereafter, which has come with some mounts to retro fit to the Rad. Has anyone simply a pic of theirs in position? It’s the ally 42mm type?

thanks all

Andy
You use old mounts on drivers side,
I fixed a small bracket to cross member to catch the old fan fixing point at the bottom of rad.

Thanks for reply Kev Have had some nylon bushes made up for rad mount, I didn’t realise or remember how the rad sat, at a slight angle etc. Have it all loosely In position, just need to sit the fans in place.

Nice one - it looks like they are pretty much identical positioning with fans in between. I know it’s going over old ground but just to confirm with you, I can see that bumper will need work to fit snug.

is that a Zetec block behind?

I assume it’s the depth of the airtec rad reading back, yours is slim line.

my rad is made by coolex. Rad is slimer than original. Fits in OE mounts.
I have had bumper on its has about 4-5mm clearance., intercooler is artec not slimline. Mounts bolt on inside of front panel.

raptor?

I have Edge protection to fit around the valence, and can tweak the position as the hose alignment needs some tweak. I have the foam to seal the rads too so will have a proper play when I get a chance

I’m after a ZVH long block now to build for this once it’s running

That how I’ve seen the mounts - how does yours fix to valence then?

are you selling ZVH? Does this conversion use RS head?

Wouldn’t know mate ref interior - it’s the darker Recaro with red fleck? It’s all in storage for over a decade, I’ve forgotten all the details nowadays.

I had 2 RS’s - one had a rotten bulkhead and shell, was a write off so stripped it. That’s why this one is mixed red/white

I’m saying dark grey, I think it is from memory but may be wrong, it was an original turbo that hadn’t been tampered with.

I had some RS7 couriered before Xmas, it’s possible to get it down if I get in to it.

Nice one Kev, I need to have a proper look as it looks the same!? The fans are slim line too.

it’s been -3 down here atm so haven’t been outside for a few weeks!

I'm pricing Omex atm now - might go straight for that whilst it’s being built.

Also your radiator is inline with the roll bar mounts, which is the same as mine so I can’t see the issue

Im not sure if intercooler will get enough airflow there. So may be temp. I am going to get intercooler modified and fit in area where original went, but twice the size.
