Are there any Ford salesmen on here? I'm looking to change my car early in the new year. I want a brand new car but I'm not a fan
of the press button starter, I'd much prefer a key to start the car. Question is, are all new cars press starter now or are there still
new motors with key starter?

I think you will find all new Ford cars now have keyless push button starting. Have you contacted any Ford main dealers to ask the question or to see if it can still be an option?

 

Not yet, I will start looking in the coming weeks.It's because bought one brand new a couple of years ago and had an awful lot of trouble with it. I called the RAC out several times when it wouldn't start. I got ride of it after about 6 months.

 

Fair play , all you can do is ask someone in a Ford dealer who should know exactly what options there are .
Another thing that I don't like on a lot of new cars is not having a proper full size spare wheel. Some don't even have a skinny wheel just some shit that you squirt into the tyre which is supposed to fix the leak! When I was looking for a more modern car for myself and my wife I made sure they both had a proper size spare wheel.

 

I do agree with you, when we had spare wheels I always kept the pressure up just in case I needed it in an emergency. Having a puncture now can be a nightmare without a spare. I don't like the built in sat navs either, they don't have updates and no speed camera alerts. So I always buy a Tom tom.

 

why do you not like pressing a button to start the car? keys can stay in your pocket or chuck them on the passengers seat or cup holder

I had one a few years ago and had endless trouble with it, after about three months I got rid of it, Maybe I just had a rogue car.

 

Never had any issues, neither has dad with his. Would rather have the button than a key.

 

Looks like I'm going to have to admit that I just had a bad car and go for the new one. I'm thinking of either The Kuga or The Puma.

 

I'm the same prefer a key in ignition rather than push button. Don't know why but could be the amount of breakdowns I go to with problems with these systems.

 

Well, mine broke down several times and one RAC guy said he had no idea how to fix it so toed it away. The same thing kept happening until I got fed up of the damn car.
