Default Capri value

I've got a white 2.8i special d reg Capri with 4 former keepers
there is no rot holes I can see but it does have some small surface rust on lip of wings where bonnet edge sits, but they are the original front wings and I believe original paint !

It's done 50000 miles and I have service book and old Mots to back it up
It had done 41000 miles upto 1993, so only 6 years old but it then seemed to be become a locked away car doing 50-200 miles per annum
Service history and old style Mots upto 2006, then just Mots after 2006 upto 2013 when I bought it at 53000 miles on last mot
interior is all inline with 50000 miles no seat wear, pedal wear etc and oil pressure higher than I've ever seen on a 2.8 cologne Capri lol

Only mods I'm aware of are a strut brace and Capri club exhaust
Loads of invoice for maintenance
It's not for sale and I don't plan on ever selling it but I am curious what it would be genuinely worth today, my gut says £10k minimum but my guts been wrong before lol

I remember when you got it and it was a nice original car. I thought it was too nice t chop up but you wouldn’t start the Zakspeed project with a scraper as it would cost more to put right. Is it staying part of your growing collection.

I really like Capris. This was my brother’s around 1988

Would say easily £10k these days, a genuine £50k mint special sold for £25k at auction last year. Capris are now very valuable.

Definitely don’t chop it up with a grinder I had a very nice blue over silver y Reg 83 Capri that I bought off a pal of mine who owned the car since we were both 19 years old back in 2012 when I took redundancy from my job and had a few quid round me. It was very clean with a couple of bits of minor rust scabs on the body work but nothing major. It was a non runner as it had not been used for years but just needed some work to bring it up to scratch. I sold it fairly recently for just short of 8 grand. It had 71k on the clock original mileage and had a few special bits on it such as half Leather Recaros, 15 inch brooklands alloys, five speed box, lsd and a booming system that was top of the range when it was installed in the late 80’s. Like any old skool ford they are desirable these days and will only increase in value as time goes by. Looking over the spec and details of your one I would say it’s a 10 grand car all day long, restored and mint injections and 280 brooklands are making good money at auction these days as said fetching 20+grand. Don’t rush to part with it, the right person will buy it

a few shots of the one I had
