Will soon be looking for a garage to set up and Dyno my Humber
I have no clue who to use, it's just a Chevy V8 with mechanical dizzy and a big edelbrock Weber carb to fine tune
I'm getting close to having it ready but I have no clue where to take it to someone that is fluent with these old motors and has the edelbrock carb bits on the shelf ?

if you're after someone to tune something old in this area, then pete baldwin is still operating from regency autos in cambridge. He's unlikely to have bits for your carb on the shelf, but he does know how to tune carbs and dizzys very well
Not had anything done by him myself, but he's been around forever and have heard many happy customers of his through my own work... even had one in today raving about him

I read Pete Baldwin had retired ? Will be ideal if he's still about and got a rolling road as it's fairly close to me
any good tuner with a dyno should be able to handle whatever you take them, shame msd are so far oop north as that would be your best port of call, failing that try ATSPEED in essex went there is my pals camaro for tune and dyno

In fact, 95% of tuners I know cant tune them. ("Properly")
They require a very specific old school skill set that I don't possess. LOL

Its an Era i would love to have been tuning in mate.
Mustangs tuneable with Jets, springs and airflow. How cool would that be?
Did a 2019 Mustang last week, 32of every important table.
Over 300 tables to calibrate to make a few horsepower. Crazy days and getting harder by the month.
Makes me miss this good old smiley actually....

I've been leaning towards buying one for a while and want to try either one of these or a c63 like fuzzy's. So far i've drove for considerable time 5 mustangs.
1 previous generation of this shape - interior was god awful and very china spec
3 new shape but with eco boost engines - generally not too bad but not a proper v8 mustang.
1 brand new 5.0 v8 mustang. - This was last week I had it for a while driving around Los Angeles. I grew to like it more after the first few days and lots of miles.
Averaged around 17mpg in traffic up to 20mpg out of traffic.
Seats are awful, feel very cheap and nasty. Heating worked well (my backs been giving me issues) the cooling sounded/felt like a pipe or something was off as it sounded like static from the radio all the time it was on same on both seats but the actual seat did get cool.
Steering - compared to the 3 ecoboost ones this was the worst, bump steer and vibration through the steering wheel did not inspire confidence in driving it.
Equipment - It was fully loaded and on the whole most of the equipment was good, the toggle switches in the center console kept getting knocked by phone's etc turning off stuff like the traction or turning on the hazards. I like you can change to digital old skool gauges.
Body - Doors are very heavy with a decent clunk to shut, trunk lid felt very plastic and fragile.
Engine - 5.0 - even with the auto box it was good, better on the move than drag racing (I raced a identical one but it wasn't fantastic for either car) from about 30mph-80mph its great, sounds good etc.
Gearbox - best left in auto, using the paddle shifters just makes it harsh and you look like your a 90yr old in a mustang.
Overall its good but not enough to make me sold on wanting one. I had been looking at a 2019 5.0 gt in maroon before I went to LA but now not sure tbh. Also you can't get anyone in the rear seats they are pointless to have so it might as well just be a two seater sports car. Even with the seat forward a bit there's still no room at all.

Spoke to regency autos I'm taking it there in the new year, but first I'm gonna fit a brand new avs2 eddy carb in place of the old performer that's on it as I've had trouble with one of those before on a 327 Chevy with lean bog from cruise to wot
I'm sure the right place, could probably sell you a carb setup and ready to just bolt on.
Or convert to one of those modern carb like fuel injection systems. Think they come as pretty easy to bolt on kits these days
