So i have an odd issue with my mk5 2001 fiesta which is prob related to its age, basically drivers door opens light comes on as normal however if passenger door opens the light does not come on....same bulb ...so clearly its not the bulb...any ideas how to fix or solve this or if its anything to worry about? obv good news is its this way round not the other way round other wise it be draining the battery. did jump start car a few weeks ago so not sure that what might of done it :/

 

Door switch, you have to have a look and see if it has a seperate switch, if not it's built into the door latch assembly

Failing that check the wiring that goes from door to a pillar
