I have seen pics of a similar one to nortech being made on A Facebook page of MK when I was looking for pics of my car. I think the Wrc fiesta is having one.
Believe long lead times with norco but would need to check.
im still on the fence at the moment, efr with more hassle of exhaust etc or slap a 3071r on with Cosworth housing which bolts straight on and maybe save the transmission abit
Mark measured the lengths on my EFR manifold this a.m., Ian, and my Nortech one is also all different lengths. Mark said the unequal is not an issue. I wonder if Mark Shead has any thoughts on it?

This is my one
It may not be exact equal length I don't know but they all head directly for the turbo flange, the one on eBay has 1,2 and 3 directly to the flange, and number 4 takes a detour and is alot longer, I don't like it it's not how they are done
i presume that's why it's so cheap as there just straight tubes rather than the curved banana bunch

Unequal length doesnt pose any issue to Subarus making power....and it'd be hard to get them worse lengths ! lol.
Turbos are great in many ways...and as long as the exhaust gets into the turbo, they'll make power. It would be very hard to actually make a really bad one in terms of that aspect.
Reliability on the other hand is very different, which is where the quality aspect comes in.
Manufacturers are going for very short manifolds on turbo setups from what ive seen. This is because as exhaust gas cools its velocity decreases so the heat energy aids spool. AMG, bmw and porsche on the latest panamera have gone hot v configurations with the turbos closer to the heads in the V of the block.
Ive no idea if a really short manifold would make our turbos spool sooner on our cossies but would be interesting to find out.
As for the OP someone has to be the first to try something new. Could be alright ive no idea. Give it a go and report back

Correct, with a lot of mfrs going direct to head these days.
Keep us updated with that one spud...interesting to see. Worth adding egt sensor purely to see what heat it is at...and a go pro to watch it flow red lol.
Ah ok can’t say as I’ve read of any of the later ones with issues etc.
Was hoping not to have to run one as don’t want to chop the heat shield.
Are nortech the only efr YB manifolds about?
I guess you get what you pay for I didn’t think any of marks had cracked
Nortec manifold are built that well they will t crack . When I still had my cossie Matt Simpson took a look and couldn't believe the quality for the money and reckoned they were under selling them .
Think some of the early ones may have but later ones fine?
see most of Marks builds don’t have hangers fitted.
Also see MK does a manifold but looks abit industrial!
I use alot of pattern parts in my businesses on machines with great success BUT some of it is utter shite !
you only way you find out is by trying them, on a high moving part different brands can be tried and tested then decisions made going forward, but with something like this manifold you will likely only need one, so the saving will far negate the cost of a replacement if it turns out to be crap
As the old saying goes "you pay your money and take ur chances"
