Default Cosworth driveshaft gaitors

Need to replace mine
Ones I’ve seen on eBay seem to have s metal flange on them
Has anyone fitted these or are they correct
Car is a 2WD sapphire
Thanks

I think that's where I bought mine from, they fit the CV joints OK but the standard load spreading washers do not clear the new metal bit.

You will either have to grind or file some clearance on the washers or leave them off.

I've bought a few sets off eBay in the past and not been great, I would get them from graham Goode personally.

Thanks seen them from Graham Goode
Also the actual CV joints do they come apart so I can get fresh grease in them
The old grease seems to have seen better days

They come apart easy enough

Putting them back together is more of a fiddle

I bought a new set from here

Then stripped them to send the outer parts for plating.

If you're going to take them apart, get a dremmel and mark the inner cage relative to the outer part and keep the ball bearings with the matching joints.

Thanks stripped them
Showing some small wear marks
Don’t seem to have any play in them though
What symptoms if they have excessive wear
Here’s s pic

I’m not an expert but they look ok from the photos and have seen much worse I would re-grease them, also google CV joint clocking which tells you about the
positioning of each CV joint on each shaft.

Hopefully others will confirm this.
