as title reply I want to take the clocks out and change the sold from the white Lockwood ones to some black ones. problem is I haven't got a clue where to start, any advice on how to remove the clocks and then change the dials would be great
Top of my head
- Remove the upper steering cowl (2 screws).
- Remove the clocks fascia (plastic cover that surrounds the read heated screen switch etc) (2 screws at top + disconnect wiring from the back of the switches etc)
- 4 screws then hold on the actual clocks unit, remove these and slide the unit forward
-Disconnect 2x wiring connectors + speedo cable allowing you to remove the unit in full
Then to open up the clock unit:
-About 6/8 screws in the back of the unit round the edge, undo these, that'll seperate the unit in 2
-Carefully prise off the needles making a note of exactly where they are sitting
-You can then get at the dials themselves
Thats all off memory but dont think i've missed anything major

speedo cable is easy ,feel for the ribbed section of the white connector on the end of the cable at the back of the clocks, then push this across and pull it off (the connector is round and you want to push it across the hole if this makes sense
