Default Amal Valve and TPS Setup

Hi All,

What or how do you setup the TPS correctly? It was originally set at 0.04v and the Amal Valve would click as soon as i would accelerate. I heave had it set to 0.25v which sorted an high idle issue but then the Amal wouldnt get ground signal from the ECU. Ive since set the TPS to 0.14v as ive seen that recommended but it made no change.

This is a 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth so PF09.

The Amal valve works when i ground it directly to the body so its working.

martysmartie has advised me that an incorrectly setup TPS can have a bearing on the Amal so im looking towards that.

Any advice on this would be great.

Regards Gareth

There is a setup guide on this forum...somewhere, I am sure someone can point you to it.

So what conditions doe sthe ECU need to activate the Amal valve? Ive set idle while at running temp with no power draw and ISCV disconnected and all is idling fine.

Does anyone have recommendation on the voltage for the TPS or any steps i have missed?
