whats the symtoms of having the tps wires round the wrong way on 4x4 tps and 2wd loom

Default whats the symtoms of having the tps wires round the wrong way on 4x4 tps and 2wd loom

Hi what is the symtoms of using a 2WD loom with 4x4 TPS and L8 ECU but not swopping the pins over ??? ive had a misfire but i didnt know to swop the wires round in the TPS loom plug ...

can it cause a misfire midrange or big flat spot etc....

Not sure about symptoms but you can check wiring with a multimeter to make sure is correct.

Massive flat spot when mine was wrong! Bit of a low down the revs misfire aswell

It will run badly, also the voltage won't be in the correct direction, i.e. 2WD voltage decreases with the throttle increasing, 4x4 increases.

The ecu probably thinks you are off the pedal when you actually have it flat down, so mine ended up having a nice responce up to the mid way, but nothing all the way after that.

As said always a good idea to check the output of the tps (middle wire) to see if it is correct for your ecu.

Overfuelling lower down, cutting out, generally shit to drive till around 1/2 throttle where the signals would be the same which ever way it was wired.
