yep, seamless as long as you use a 2wd loom and ecu

for teh sake of 70 quid, get a new 4x4 one, then you know its right as swapping wires round and messing about will always need undoing when it need replacing and u can only get a 4x4 one

Hmmm...I have a complete 4wd engine with L8 and loom and so on.

problem is that I have ordered a 4x4 one but as I understand they are in back order so I dont know when I will have it....and as I'm in the middle of running in my new engine I cant wait, but its a pain driving it right now...

By the way is it normal that my clutch (AP six padle with std cover) when I start from a standstill it shakes a fair bit ??

no. you can't use a 2wd TPS on a 4x4 ECU, the characteristics are very different even with the wires swapped over on the TPS connector. The TPS and ECU need to match to work properly.

did you have the flywheel skimmed bfore fitting the 6 paddle?

chances are it will get better with use, but with a paddle it really needs smooth faces on both the cover and flywheel to work nicely.

i think msd have pf09 (4x4) tps in stock....

ps, bont be fooled by the colour either, there are both red and black 2d and 4x4 ones about, its the part number that maters,

PF09 4x4

PF01 2wd.

HI,

Yes should work using 2wd, switch and l6, with 4/4 loom, reverse pins 11, 30. as 4/4, switch with 4/4 ecu. and 2wd loom swop over pins
11&30.

the 2 will work mid throttle as then it is only a reistance input, but at idle the car may not run right,

some tend to oversimplify ... as the spec is 0-5v 4x4 and 5-0v 2wd, so just swapping the outer 2 wires will reverse the action, maybe, but im not 100% convinced

yes, idle and light-load driveability will be poor with the wrong one. Trying to use a 2wd (PF01) TPS on a L8 ECU WILL give you grief, just not worth it IMO evan as a stop-gap

HI,

USE THE CORRECT SWITCH WITH CORRECT ECU, PFO9=4/4,L8,
PFO1=L6, 2WD.

So in my case (4wd loom and L6 ECU + 2wd PF01 TPS) I will have to switch over pin 11 and 30.......correct ?

Just to add something though...

I seem to remember my Weber Marelli technical data on the system actually says you can swap the wires between the two for use on the L6 and the L8 IFRC....

I'll dig it out if its any use....
